Florida Notary Academy, established August 27, 2010, is one of less than 30 notary education providers approved by the Executive Office of the Governor (many of which are no longer in business). It is directed by Robert T. Koehler, a fourth generation Florida Notary Public with over 15 years of experience. Regarded as an authority in notarial law and practice, Robert has served as an expert witness in multiple civil cases and has been consulted by attorneys and courts alike. He was even interviewed by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune during the robo-signing mortgage crisis. Since 2010 he has served as a permanent consultant on notarial practice and education to the American Association of Notaries. He also holds the Trusted Notary designation awarded by the National Notary Association, and is a proud alumnus of the University of South Florida.
